Siena is only 35 km away – this beautiful city with its unique shell-shaped square (Il Campo) can also be reached by bus. The bus stop is located just 200 meters from the house.

In the surrounding regions of Chianti, Montalcino, and Montepulciano, you can expect picturesque landscapes, impressive nature, as well as numerous art and cultural offerings that invite you to explore and discover.

Florence is accessible as a day trip by car.

The seaside in Follonica is just a 45-minute drive away. The ancient Etruscan town of Populonia, with its archaeological excavations and the inviting Gulf of Baratti, is reachable within an hour.

Heading south, a 90-minute drive will take you to the Uccellina Nature Park, the Tarot Garden (Niki de Saint Phalle), or to Orbetello and across the lagoons to the Argentario Peninsula.

Nearby you will find the Terme di Petriolo, an ancient Roman bath with natural hot sulfur springs. It is about 30 km away and free to access.

For swimming, besides the Merse (10 min.) and Farma (15 min.) rivers, there is also a lake near Massa Marittima (30 min.) and, of course, the sea.

For nature lovers, hiking trails surround Chiusdino, Montieri, and Massa Marittima, with another beautiful route following the coast.

A rewarding excursion leads to the Abbey of San Galgano, the famous church without a roof. Its impressive walls under the open sky create a truly unique atmosphere.
